What is this Indicator?
This indicator shows the percentage of adults needing care for emotional or mental health or substance abuse issues who stated that they did obtain help for those issues in the past year.
Why this is important: 
Psychological distress can affect all aspects of our lives. It is important to recognize and address potential psychological issues before they become critical. Occasional down days are normal, but persistent mental/emotional health problems should be evaluated and treated by a qualified professional.
Technical Note:  The distribution is based on data from 44 California counties and county groups.
