| Description |
The goal of Girls 2000 is to provide low-income girls, aged 10-18, living in the Hunters Point public housing development in San Francisco, CA with exposure and experiences to help them overcome obstacles that they may encounter.
Girls 2000 provides various services, including: computer instruction, academic tutoring, gender specific support, career mentoring and employment development training, life skills classes, counseling, field trips, art and dance classes and projects, and supervised Friday night outings.
